Credsline is currently in private beta. This page describes how the service works today and the rules that apply while you use it. Complete Terms of Service are in preparation with counsel and will replace this page before general availability. Questions: legal@credsline.com.
Credsline is a credibility platform. Users assess factual claims — for example, claims about published statistics, corporate filings, or regulatory actions. Each claim is compiled into an objectively resolvable contract and matched to an authoritative data source selected and managed by Credsline before any participation opens.
Credsline resolves claims about matters of established fact only. Predictions, opinions, subjective judgments, and claims about future outcomes are not eligible and are rejected during claim review.
To use Credsline you must:
We may suspend or close accounts that do not meet these requirements.
What CC is. CC is an internal platform credit issued, held, and accepted solely by Credsline. It is used to participate in claim assessments on the platform.
Buying CC. CC is purchased at $1 = 1 CC, at full face value, with no purchase fee.
What CC is today. During the beta, CC:
Future redemption. We intend to introduce cash redemption of eligible balances. Doing so will require identity verification and is subject to regulatory and payment-provider approval. Nothing on this page is a commitment to a timeline, and you should not purchase CC in expectation of redeeming it.
CC purchases are generally final. If you believe a purchase was made in error, contact support.
You may Commit CC to a position on an open claim — Back it (you believe the claim is true) or Challenge it (you believe it is false). You may hold only one position per claim, and you cannot commit more CC than your available balance.
Claim windows. A claim that does not attract positions on both sides within 72 hours expires, and all committed CC is returned. Once a claim's participation window closes, resolution begins and completes within approximately 2 hours.
Settlement. When a claim resolves, Credsline takes a 5% Credibility Resolution Fee from the matched pool; the remainder is distributed proportionally among users who held the correct position. Committed CC that is not returned through settlement is lost.
If a claim cannot be resolved against its source, it is marked unresolvable and all committed CC is returned.
If you held a position on a resolved claim, you may dispute the outcome.
Filing. Disputes may be filed within 12 hours of resolution. Filing requires committing additional CC equal to 33% of your position on that claim.
Endorsement. Other participants may endorse a filed dispute for up to 24 hours after resolution, each committing 33% of their own position. A dispute proceeds to review only if endorsements reach at least one third of the holders on the filer's side.
Risk to filers and endorsers. If a dispute is rejected, both the filer and every endorser forfeit the CC they committed. Endorsing a dispute is not a neutral act — it carries the same risk as filing one. If a dispute is upheld, committed CC is returned.
Review. Disputes that reach the threshold are reviewed by a Credsline moderator, normally within 48 hours. The moderator's decision is final, and only one dispute per claim may be decided.
Corrections. Where a dispute is upheld, the outcome is corrected and balances are adjusted accordingly — including reversing CC distributions already made to users who held the original winning position. These reversals are internal to the platform and involve CC only; no cash is moved.
Negative balances. A correction can reduce your available CC below zero if you have already committed CC that was distributed to you. While your balance is negative, you cannot commit CC or make any other outflow until the balance is restored to zero or above.
Creds are your credibility score, earned by being right. Creds cannot be purchased, sold, transferred, or redeemed, and do not expire. Reliability reflects your accuracy over time and is displayed only once you have enough resolved positions for it to be meaningful.
Claims you submit are reviewed by Credsline before publication. We may edit a claim's wording for clarity, decline claims that are not objectively resolvable, or remove claims at our discretion. Once a claim is compiled, its resolution source and methodology are set by Credsline and cannot be changed by users.
You agree not to:
We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations, and may withhold or reverse balances associated with abuse.
Credsline is in active development. Features may change, be added, or be removed. The service may be unavailable at times, and data or balances may be adjusted to correct errors. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes.
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis during the beta.
We may update this page as the beta develops. Material changes — including any change to the fee, the windows, or the commitment percentages described above — will be communicated to registered users. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
